When I was a child, I wanted to draw like a grown-up, but now I yearn to draw like a child- “Pablo Picasso. This is the beauty of child art. Every child has an innate urge to create, to experiment, to explore and discover. The first form of creative expression is also through art like scribbling. Learning about art gives students a window into the rich and interesting world around them. It cultivates self expression imagination and creativity. The development of these skills not only makes students’ better learners but it also helps students feel good about themselves – it builds self esteem. In a world in which ideas and information are often delivered visually, children need to learn how to analyze and judge the meaning of images and how to use them to communicate their own ideas.
